As I ran my fingers through the design, I folded it with a smile. The kain batik, tucked in my closet, a treasure passed on to me by Mom which was passed from Grandma. The memories it holds between every weave, it has witnessed the journey of the women in my generation from the mundane everyday activities to enveloping them with comfort during their confinements. Oh, the stories these pieces could tell!
This heirloom has become my object of affection, something to make me feel close to my roots. The team and I were inspired by it to create The Warisan dUCk. We brought back the itik pulang petang batik motif, which symbolizes unity of people on their journey back home together – much like us, dUCkies! The flowers have dUCk as the center, and the butterflies depict us flying to reach our dreams but always coming back home.
Some have jewels as heirlooms, some have photos. For my family, it's this traditional piece of kain batik - a symbol of our roots and where we came from. I'll be proud to one day pass it on to my own daughter.

Sustainability
Each dUCk comes beautifully wrapped in its own box - and whilst dUCk boxes are considered collectibles, its true quality comes from its fully-recyclable nature, together with the usage of eco-friendly protective tissue paper – making the box completely recyclable and reusable. In our ongoing effort towards sustainability, the purple postbox at the dUCk store in Suria KLCC collects dUCk boxes for closed-loop recycling. It’s a sweet solution to reduce our carbon footprint and secure sustainably sourced materials to create more dUCk boxes.

Here are some tips to treat your dUCks with love and care:
Care Instructions
- Recommended to hand wash and line dry
- For makeup or oil stains, spot treat with a stain remover
- Steam iron or dry iron on medium heat
- For storage, fold or hang in a wardrobe
- Dry clean recommended or hand wash with mild detergent
- Wash separately before first use
- Steam Iron is recommended
- Machine-wash under a gentle cycle in a laundry mesh bag
- Iron on low temperature
- Avoid direct contact of dUCk hardware with strong chemicals such as detergent, perfume, etc
- Hang to dry, do not tumble dry
- Protect from direct light, heat and rain. Should it become wet, dry it immediately with a soft cloth
- Avoid direct contact with substances that might cause colour transfer, bleeding, and fading
- Clean with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap
- Keep clean by wiping with a soft damp cloth
- Do not wash, soak, bleach, or machine dry to avoid damaging the material
- When not in use, store it flat or upright to preserve its shape
- Avoid direct contact with perfume, body lotion, hair spray or other substances that might cause damage
- Clean after each use with a soft cloth
- When not in use, store it in a dustbag or airtight jewellery box
